"Far too many Catholics are not familiar with the basic content of Catholic social teaching. More fundamentally, many Catholics do not adequately understand that the social teaching of the Church is an essential part of Catholic faith. This poses a serious challenge for all Catholics, since it weakens our capacity to be a Church that is true to the demands of the Gospel. We need to do more to share the social mission and message of our Church."

JustFaith is a faith formation program emphasizing the gospel message of peace and justice, Catholic social teaching and the intersection of spirituality and action. JustFaith employs books, videos, lecture, discussion, prayer, retreats and hands-on experiences in an extended (30 weeks) justice education process that meets weekly. The aim of JustFaith is to enable participants to develop a passion for justice and to express this passion in concrete acts of social ministry.
St. Monica Parish is joining with our brothers and sisters at St. Eugene Parish and All Saints Catholic Church to launch the JustFaith program starting fall 2011. All parishioners over 18 years of age are invited to join this transformative social justice education and community-building program.
