Communion to our Homebound Parishioners:
Monica Cardenas, 964-8780 ext 182 (Pastoral Associate)
This ministry is a special combination of the ministry of hospitality and the Eucharistic Ministry. A Homebound Minister represents the parish by bringing the “Community gathered to celebrate Christ’s presence” to those who are physically unable to assemble with the congregation.
Ministers to the Homebound visit sick parishioners in their homes and use the ritual, Communion for the Sick, by sharing a Scripture reading and distributing Eucharist. They may act as links to the parish assembly by bringing a parish bulletin, parish news and concerns.
Any parish member who has been confirmed, may be a Minister to the Homebound. We especially encourage family members of the homebound person to be a part of this ministry.
